Alexander Technique is about using whatever you have, to the best of your ability. Seniors often find Alexander Technique assists with managing pain, arthritis, mobility issues and degenerative disorders.

Using Alexander Technique may improve on balance, strength, efficiency and flexibility. Sessions for seniors are geared towards improving ease and function in daily activities, recreation or exercise programs.

The small group size offers the opportunity for individual attention and group exploration of Alexander Technique.

The principles developed by FM Alexander are the essence of the lessons. Taking input from the group’s interest on the day, we will be look at how The Technique can be integrated with daily or specialist activities, and explore ways of deepening our practice of Alexander Technique.

This is an opportunity to share your own learning and learn from others’ experiences.

Newcomers to Alexander Technique are welcome. As well as being a wonderful personal practice for experienced students, this is also an opportunity for introducing The Technique to friends and family.

Participants will gain understanding of the principles of Alexander Technique, experience guided procedures, and develop a framework for continued exploration and practice independently.

Minimum numbers apply.  Venue: Poise Alexander Technique Glen Iris.

NOTE:  Groups sessions may not be suitable for all students.  Individual lessons are able to cater to students with acute injury, specialist interest or otherwise requiring special assistance.  If you are unsure about what is best for your Alexander Technique learning, please contact the studio.
